There was a time when we were young
We heard the songs the angels sung
And every word where they belong
It rang so true and then was gone

When we were young we dressed the way
Of troubadours who passed away
Corduroy and velvet ruled the day
We coloured the world and then faded away

When we were young we tempted fate
We created love, negated hate
We built a sound that won’t abate
But there’s too much karma on your plate
